Counselling & Therapy

What happens in the first counselling session?

Usually about understanding your concerns, background, and what you’re looking for. There’s no pressure to share everything at once — it’s a space to begin comfortably.

How do I know if I (or my child) need counselling?

If you’re noticing changes in mood, behaviour, stress levels, or difficulty coping, counselling can help. You don’t need to wait for things to become severe — early support can be useful.

How many sessions will be required?

There’s no fixed number. It depends on the concern, goals, and pace of the individual. Some come for a few sessions; others continue for longer-term support.

Are counselling sessions confidential?

Yes, all sessions are conducted with strict confidentiality. Information is only shared where safety may be a concern, and this is discussed with the client.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes, we offer both online and offline sessions, depending on your preference and availability.

Do you work with psychiatrists or other specialists?

Yes, when required, we collaborate with clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, and other professionals, and may recommend assessments.

Children & Programs

How do I know which programme is right for my child?

We recommend starting with a consultation. Based on the child’s needs, we guide you towards the most suitable option — morning programme, evening academic assistance, or other support.

What’s the difference between the Morning Programme and Evening Academic Assistance?

The Morning Programme includes structured pathways — pre-vocational, NIOS, and homeschooling. The Evening Programme is after-school support focused on academics, behaviour, and study skills.

Do you create individual plans for each child?

Yes, every child follows an Individualised Education Plan (IEP) based on their learning needs and pace.

How is progress measured?

Through regular evaluations, which may include written, oral, and activity-based assessments — a scribe may be used. The focus is on overall development, not just academics.

Do you involve parents in the process?

Yes, we conduct regular Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and share updates on progress, challenges, and strategies for support at home.

Internships & Training

Who can apply for the internship programme?

Students from school level to postgraduate psychology can apply, depending on their interest and background.

Will I get practical exposure during the internship?

Yes — interns observe sessions, work on case-based understanding, attend workshops, and participate in activities under guidance.

What is the InPractice Supervision Programme?

A 3-month supervised programme for postgraduate psychology students, focused on working with real clients under guidance and building clinical skills.
